About
NGUNI is a non-governmental organization established in 2010. Please find more information on our theory of development here.
The Shield, lying down symbolizes peace, but it is a reminder of the need to uphold one’s beliefs, in particular ethics, values and principles.
"The Future is Today" written by a Mozambican fifth grader. This sets clear the driver of NGUNI's intervention- the child and the future that starts today

Where We Work
Where We Work
NGUNI does most of it's work in Maciene, the land of the Macies. This is a small village of around ten thousand people in the Gaza Province of Mozambique. Maciene is about a 30 minute drive from the provincial capital of Xai-Xai and about a 2 hour drive from the country's capital Maputo. The Gaza province is one of the poorest in the country.
